About HERO Tent

Human Empowerment,
Radical Optimism (H.E.R.O)

H.E.R.O. Tent is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in San Jose, California, founded in the summer of 2020 as a direct response to the George Floyd uprising. We are a passionate abolitionist mutual aid organization dedicated to reimagining community safety and pushing radical systemic change on the local level.

Guided by radical optimism, we believe that meaningful change begins at the grassroots level. Our mission is to empower the community by providing essential resources, support, and a platform for collective action. We are committed to nurturing a powerful movement for justice that is driven by the needs and voices of those most affected by systemic injustice.

Join us in creating a future where safety, equity, and justice are a reality for all.
