We unconditionally support Palestinian armed resistance & the armed resistance of all oppressed people.

Moralizing by people in the heart of the most evil empire in history on the validity of Palestinian armed resistance carries little meaning. Their struggle is righteous and they will be victorious, with or without our support.

We offer this post in the spirit of principled critique & with the intention of promoting effective movement building & escalation. We want to state clearly our opposition to both peace policing and symbolic arrests. We hope that this resonates with our community here in the South Bay and that together we can move forward from “red, yellow, green” towards collectively held risk. We keep us safe!

The cop who shot K’aun Green was Mark McNamara. He was placed on administrative leave after the shooting and K’aun and his family never saw justice. One year later, Mercury News has uncovered and published a series of racist texts between McNamara and other members of PD. McNamara took the opportunity to resign (meaning he gets to keep his pension and seek employment elsewhere), while once again we get a glimpse at how SJPigs talk when they think no one is listening…

SJPD responded to an alleged robbery at the Oakridge Mall Macy's on Dec 18 after the suspects had already fled. Mysteriously, all merchandise was accounted for. The police response resulted in 0 suspects and suspect arrests, but instead the almost detention of a seemingly random bystander and the violent arrest of women who verbally criticized the police's treatment of that man they were attempting to detain.

Despite crime rates in most categories of a state-recognized crime having gone down or remaining almost stagnant for a couple of years now, we constantly hear these narratives of increasing crime and “crime-waves'' and the need for more police. Yet, you’ll never hear the media argue the reverse, that we need fewer police because of decreasing crime rates…

We built these communities and created the vibrant culture that permeates the Bay Area. People come to California for this culture, the same culture that Black and Latino people created. Now, those very communities are being forced out. The city is treating our Black and Latino community as roadblocks to progress, but they forgot we are the blueprint.
